I get enthusiastic over martial arts movies because I am a kick boxer. I love kickboxing to stay in shape. When I see a film like Merantau Warrior, I get all goose bumpy and want to take on the world.

This action-packed film plays out like an Indonesian version of acclaimed movie Ong-Bak. The story is about a young man (Uwais), who leaves his rural town and adolescence for the big, bad city – this time it’s Jakarta – where he saves a girl from human trafficking but then must fight for their lives in a jaw-dropping action sequence.

If this trailer doesn’t get your blood pumping, nothing will. I am ecstatic over Uwais’ back kicks. Merantau Warrior DVD release date is set for June 4, 2010.
