The Karate Kid took the most money for Friday’s box office. All it took was one swift kick by Jackie Chan and the movie ruled.  

The martial arts  film earned about $18.8 million. The film’s closet competition, The A-Team, brought in around $9.5 million. Shrek Forever After came in at No. 3, earning about $4.5 million. Get Him to the Greek took in an estimated $3.2 million. Rounding out the top 5 was Killers that earned about $2.6 million.
