The Experiment stars Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Elijah Wood, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Grace and Clifton Collins Jr.  The movie is directed by Paul Scheuring, but there is no US distributor yet.  With the cast list, that seems hard to buy.

The movie is an English remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s 2001 film Das Experiment.  The story focuses on a group of ordinary people who are recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a psychological research study that examines how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affect the participants.  To make the story interesting it spins out of control.
