Denzel Washington is taking a good look at starring in Safe House.

Universal brought in director Daniel Espinoza to work through a quick rewrite with David Guggenheim, who wrote the original script. The idea is to be in full production by fall or winter.

The story centers on a man at a CIA-run safe house who must help a criminal who’s being kept there, and avoid being killed by villains who want the witness dead.
