Radcliffe Heading to Suspense-Thriller
Daniel Radcliffe, the star of Harry Potter movies, is heading to a new dimension from fantasy to suspense-thriller. He is taking on the lead role in The Woman in Black, based on the novel of the same name by Susan Hill. James Watkins, who directed Eden Lake, will be taking on this thriller that starts filming in the fall.
The story was written for the screen by Jane Goldman and it follows Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe) who’s ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. He works alone in an old and isolated house, and he begins to uncover its tragic secrets. He grows unease when he finds out that the local village is held hostage by the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.
I am looking forward to seeing Radcliffe broaden his craft due to the fact that he is also attached to All Quite on the Western Front. The Harry Potter star has always come across like a professional and he has a wonderful future in film.

I’ve seen Eden Lake. And I liked it. I think James Watkins can make a better ghost movie with Daniel Radcliffe. This should be interesting.
