The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Original Motion Picture Soundtrack landed in my mailbox and sizzled!  Next to the soundtrack CD was an even hotter item: The Boondock Saints Comic Book: “The Secret History of II Duce – Volume 1.” 

The comic book designs are to die for and it’s a good read with a cliffhanger that begs for more.  Another really cool thing is the comic book can be downloaded and read on an iPad via Infusion’s new digital comic’s platform: ComicStore!

If you are clever, you can listen to the soundtrack while reading the comic book. Jeff Danna composed an awesome film score.  The music is stimulating with melodic movements that lift the spirit. Two potent songs that I am drawn to are “Line Of Blood” and “Real Thang” by Detroit-born singer-songwriter Ty Stone. He has a powerful and meaningful voice, which is truly something to take note and enjoy.

The Dirges, an aggressive folk-punk hybrid band, pound out the film’s catchy title track “The Saints Are Coming” and the indie chart- topping “Better Days.”  Other hot tracks include Sean C’s charming “Balls Deep” and Taylor Duffy’s compelling “Plastic Jesus.”
