It may well be one of the strangest ideas in some time, but coming hot on the heels of the Facebook movie The Social Network comes a movie about the Internet’s king of search engines and one of the few success stories to come out of the dot-com era in one piece.

It’s set to be called Google: The End of the World As We Know It, and it’ll be all about the duo who founded Google, the origin of their “don’t be evil” motto and all the stuff that’s covered in the book of the same name about Google.

Sounds pretty dry for a movie, but maybe they’ll be able to string some incidents together and make the whole thing interesting. The rights are purchased, but there’s no word as yet on casting and release dates and such. So keep it here and we’ll pass on the latest when we’ve got it.
