Eli Roth Confirms: Thanksgiving Movie Coming
In all honesty, folks, I don’t know whether to be happy or horrified.
Sure, Halloween is the horror holiday of choice. But Christmas has had a few scary movies itself, along with many of the rest. One holiday that’s always been lacking in horror fare is Thanksgiving, and following the brief mock trailer that landed on the Grindhouse series for the Thanksgiving horror movie entitled Thanksgiving, we were all, I think, kind of hoping that we’d see this one hit.
For a while, nothing…until now.
The word from Eli Roth is that a script is under development. More specifically, he had this to say:
I’ve been working on the script with my co-writer, Jeff Rendell, who plays the pilgrim in the trailer. And it’s me imitating Jeff’s voice [for the narration]. But Jeff has been working. I said that his deal is he has to work on the script while I’m promoting The Last Exorcism, and as soon as I’m done in mid-September he’s going to fly to California, we’re going to sit down, and bang out the script.
Looks like Thanksgiving might follow in Machete’s footsteps.
