Reshoots of the Little Fockers is bringing Dustin Hoffman back to play Bernie, who was originally written out of the third installment of the hilarious movies starring Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller.

Empire Magazine Online, who heard it from Deadline, reports that the second sequel to Meet the Parents was back in the studio for significant re-shoots. The shoots include Hoffman. Six new scenes will be filmed next month, and four will feature Bernie Focker.  Important scenes will see Hoffman play opposite Barbra Streisand, once again, and he’ll also be part of a big scene at the end of the film that involves everyone.

Apart from Hoffman and Streisand, Little Fockers stars regulars Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson. Some new blood is in the mix with Jessica Alba, Laura Dern and Harvey Keitel.

The movie opens during the holidays, December 22, 2010.
