Part of this sounds like a horrendous idea, and yet the other part sounds like a brilliant one, as we discover that Jim Carrey, one of the biggest personalities of the nineties, is coming back to play the adaptation of the children’s book Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

In the book, a businessman in the midst of city living finds himself suddenly in possession of half a dozen penguins.  You can just about imagine how well this ends for him–between suddenly having to convert his apartment into a suitable environment for penguins to being known as “the guy who has penguins in his apartment”.

This actually sounds like something tailor-made for Jim, mostly because it’s a thoroughly insane scenario.  How it’ll actually turn out, though, remains to be seen. There’s no release date out for this yet, so keep an eye with us here for the latest.
