Well, I guess it’s one of those stories where Robert Rodriguez gives with one hand and takes with the other–as what must be a price for appearing in Machete, Jessica Alba is left to join the cast of Spy Kids 4.

You heard about this one from us back in March, but that’s the new wrinkle here–Jessica Alba’s in it. We also know a bit more about the plot; she’ll be playing the mother of a baby and stepmom to two pre-teens, and you can just about figure what will happen to those pre-teens by the time the movie’s over.

Yep…there’s your new Spy Kids.

Some reports suggest that the original Spy Kids, Vega and Sabara, will come back for cameos along with Antonio Banderas. But it’s all still early stage news, so keep it right here for all the latest as we manage to find it.
