So there’s a new trailer for Machete out on IGN–which seems a bit late of them given that Machete’s opening September 3rd–and it’s a thoroughly amazing trailer.

It’s also a red band trailer, which means you’ll want to keep the kids away, not to mention your boss, so don’t go watching this at work, either.

And indeed, if you’re looking for plenty of blood and guts, you’ll get them right here, and then some. Machete stars Danny Trejo as a former Mexican federale who’s left betrayed and goes hunting for revenge. Messy, blood-soaked revenge.

The trailer, meanwhile, shows conclusively how over the top you can get when you take a fake trailer from a movie called Grindhouse and let it go to its logical extreme. If they all turn out like this, I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of them.
