And it’s shockingly similar to the United States one.  But, being as this is the official Paranormal Activity 2 poster for Australia, it’s one to talk about.

Now, you can see there’s two important differences here between this one and the United States version and this one–the web address packs on a .AU extension, and loses the demand. This by itself is worth a look–especially for the Australians out there who no doubt want to see Paranormal Activity 2–but while I’m here, let me expound on three points that I noticed with this thing.

1. The clear thing to notice here is the shadow in the picture that doesn’t appear in the mirror. It’s so obvious, in fact, that I think it’s distracting from two other points.

2. The baby that appears in the crib does not appear in the mirror image. Now, that may be a function of the position of the crib, but it’s still a bit unnerving.  But what it really does is set up the real kicker.

3. Look at the dog.  Now look at the mirror image of the dog. Now look at the dog’s tail.  Now look at the mirror image’s tail.  Why is the dog’s tail up whilst the mirror image’s tail is DOWN?

Maybe I’m jumping at shadows here, but it’s still an interesting sight and one that definitely bears considering, especially since the release of Paranormal Activity 2 is about a month out, give or take, this October 21st.
