Rick Moranis Comes Out of Retirement For Ghostbusters 3
We all thought it was approaching impossible, folks–a downright preposterous lump of hooey to suggest that Rick Moranis would come back from out of his self-imposed retirement to take on the third installment of Ghostbusters.
But the word has finally emerged–indeed, he will be back. His first role in years will be none other than Louis Tulley, accountant, and occasional Ghostbuster.
Moranis got out of acting back in 1997, after his wife’s death from cancer so that he could spend time taking care of his kids. And indeed, for the last thirteen years he’s been mostly gone, aside from a bit of voice work.
Of course, this is still early stage stuff–he’s willing, but at last report, Bill Murray was not, so this may still buckle under its own weight.
