Ciaran Hinds and Janet McTeer are signing up with Daniel Radcliffe for The Woman in Black. It looks like the production is using UK actors for the key roles.  

According to Empire Magazine online, Radcliffe is playing Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to the remote house of one of his clients to sort out the deceased’s last few affairs. But as he works alone in the creaky, creepy place, he begins to realize that all is not what it seems – and that he might not be the only one in the place. And then there’s the small matter of the entire village being held hostage by the vengeful spirit of a wronged woman.

Hinds worked with Radcliffe on the final Harry Potter outing. He has agreed to play the local landowner Mr. Daily.  Daily helps Kipps investigate the house while McTeer plays Hinds’ wife.

The script was adapted by Jane Goldman from Susan Hill’s novel of the same name.  James Watkins, who directed Eden Lake, is set to go into production within the end of the month.
