World Premiere of Zombie Roadkill to Hit Fantastic Fest

September 16th, 2010 in Comedy, Directors, Festivals, Horror, Movies -

Sam Raimi may well be one of the biggest names in horror, and his Ghost House Pictures studio has put out a lot of interesting pieces. Some better than others, of course, but some that are downright impressive.

This is why it’s hugely exciting to have got the news that his Zombie Roadkill will be getting its world premiere at Fantastic Fest down at the Alamo Drafthouse down in Austin.

Fantastic Fest is a pretty big deal in horror circles, and so it’s just about as big that Raimi’s newest gets its premiere there.  It features Thomas Haden Church (yeah, the guy from Sideways–that movie about wine that got him nominated for an Oscar.) and David Dorfman.  Church plays a park ranger who hooks up with Dorfman and a group of kids trying to escape a cursed stretch of road that turns roadkill animals into flesh-eating zombies.

Oh, and even better–the Zombie Roadkill Taco Truck will be in attendance so you too can get some “roadkill taco”.

The premiere is Friday, September 24th at eight PM, so if you want some zombie action and tacos to match and you’re down in Texas,  get an eyeful. And a bellyful.
