Buried director Rodrigo Cortes has signed Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver to star in his next movie Red Lights, a psychological thriller, from an original screenplay by Cortes.

Lights follows a psychologist, played by Weaver, and her assistant whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic played by De Niro.

The story is set in an unidentified big city in the U.S. with production set to start February. There will be seven weeks of filming in Spain and two weeks in Canada.
