Robert Downy Jr. may star in Neil Strauss’ non-fiction tome “Emergency!: This Book Will Save Your Life”  since the film rights were bought by Sony.

Downey will produce, along with Susan Downey and Michael DeLuca. Allan Loeb (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) will write the script. 

According to Variety, Emergency tells the motivational story of one man’s journey on how to stay alive and protect his loved ones by learning to survive in the wild. 

Strauss’ previous books might ring a bell: “The Game,” “The Long Hard Road out of Hell with Marilyn Manson” and “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star with Jenna Jameson.” The author’s “Everyone Loves You When You’re Dead” is will hit bookshelves in March.
