Mars Needs Moms is the latest Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D movie coming to the big screen.  The comedy adventure stars Seth Green, Dan Fogler, Elisabeth Harnois, Mindy Sterling, Kevin Cahoon and Joan Cusack. 

The trailer is fun to watch and the animation is cool. Kids will love it.  I hope the story holds until the end.

Directed by Simon Wells the movie is based on a book by Berkeley Breathed, a Pulitzer-Prize winner for his comic strip “Bloom County,” is the author and illustrator of the book of the same name. The story was inspired by a particular moment of disagreement that took place between his son Milo and his wife.   

Adapted for the screen by Simon Wells and Wendy Wells produced by the team behind Disney’s A Christmas Carol and The Polar Express, Mars Needs Moms showcases nine-year-old Milo’s  (Green) quest to save his mom (Cusack) from Martians—a wild adventure in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D that involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader (Mindy Sterling).

The movie opens March 11, 2010.
