Clooney Takes Gravity Role with Bullock

December 17th, 2010 in Actors, Directors, Fantasy, Movies, Sci-Fi, The Movie Biz -

George Clooney and Sandra Bullock make a nice pair. So nice in fact, they will be starring together in a big-budget science fiction movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The drama is called Gravity. You may have heard about the movie because Curaon has been going through some trials and tribulations with casting the 3D movie.  The problems with casting was caused by scheduling conflicts. Angelia Jolie left the movie with other casting possibilities such as Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman, which ended with Bullock taking the role

Now, Robert Downey Jr. had to bow out because the super star’s huge schedule of movies conflicted with the production.  So, Clooney has stepped in to take the role and bring it to fruition.  Which means the movie may open in the spring of 2011.

Clooney will play an astronaut who survives a huge space catastrophe together with Bullock.  As I mentioned before, Bullock and Clooney will do fine together with all the bells and whistles, making an epic science fiction 3D movie.
