Golden Globes Gives 7 Nods to The King’s Speech

The King’s Speech came out on top with the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn., the movie earned seven Golden Globes nominations, which is more of any other film. The nominations include for best picture drama, director, actor, screenplay, score and supporting actor and actress mentions.

The HFPA announced its nominations early Tuesday morning for the 68th annual Golden Globes ceremony.  No surprises in regards to The King’s Speech nabbing the most nominations.  Such a talented cast brings the movie to the forefront.

Other nominees are The Social Network, The Fighter. Both nabbed six nominations each and in the best movie drama and director categories.  Three other movies followed with four nods. They are Black Swan, Inception and The Kids Are All Right. The Kids Are All Right nabbed the most nods of any musical-comedy film, including for best picture in that category.

Black Swan and Inception rounded out the picture-drama and director categories with nods in both.
