Jodie Foster has signed on to Neill Blomkamp’s science fiction film Elysium, which also stars another A-list actor Matt Damon and District 9 star Sharlto Copley.

The story details are hush-hush, and it is not a sequel to the Best Picture nominee District 9. However, the story is set in the far future on another planet.

The last time we saw Foster on the silver screen was in the 2008 children’s fantasy Nim’s Island. She is returning as co-star and director in The Beaver, starring Mel Gibson, which is already in the spotlight.

I must admit that I am curious to see how Elysium unveils with such a strong cast and decent director.
