Last week, 20th Century Fox debuted the trailer for their upcoming film Mr. Popper’s Penguins for the penguins at Sea World. No word yet on how the penguins liked the trailer.

Directed by Mark Waters, Jim Carrey decided to create a role that is over the top, similar to his movies in the nineties. The movie is based on the children’s book Mr. Popper’s Penguins, which is widely read by 7 to 9 year olds.

The life of a businessman begins to change after he inherits six penguins and has to transform his apartment into a winter wonderland. Even his professional side starts to unravel.

The movie is ideal for Jim Carrey because, if you watch this trailer, you will see how zany it can become for Mr. Popper. How it’ll actually turn out, though, remains to be seen.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins also includes Angela Lansbury and Carla Gugino and is being released in theaters nationwide this summer.
