Radcliffe Talks about How to Succeed…Movie
Producers of the Broadway’s musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying are talking about bringing the play to the silver screen. With Daniel Radcliffe in the starring role on Broadway, he could easily do the movie if an excellent script came along. According to EW, reviews have been very positive and Radcliffe said, “We’re getting great support in the theater every night,” and the critics are mostly on board as well.
Radcliffe also said, “The producers of the show would not be doing their jobs properly if they were not at this moment in time talking about the possibility of a How to Succeed movie,”
Radcliffe is focusing on the next year of his life, not whether the Pulitzer prizing-winning musical will become a movie, “A lot of things would have to be right for it to happen. In terms of the script, I think it’s very hard to adapt. But, you know: nor am I going to rule out the possibility, because I don’t want to be presented with a brilliant script and say, ‘Oh, well, I said no to the press.’ It’s just something I’m not even thinking about.”
