Witherspoon, Pine, Hardy in ‘This Means War’ on Valentine’s Day
You might think that Twentieth Century Fox is declaring war on Valentine’s Day by moving the release date up by three days for the comedy-action film This Means War – opening Tuesday, February 14.
This audacious strike comes on the heels of outstanding test screenings and strong word of mouth, according to the studio.
In the film, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy portray the world’s deadliest CIA operatives, as well as inseparable partners and best friends… until they fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.
Creating a hit comedy is not easy. This Means War might be 20th Century’s box office winner for Valentine’s Day week at the movies.
