I like this character because the bad gal (or guy) makes the movie interesting. If the nemesis is not interesting to watch, then there is a problem with the movie. She seems to be doing a pretty good job. She may be controlling, manipulative and over-protective, but Mother Gothel(Donna Murphy) is the only mother Rapunzel has ever known.
By stealing Rapunzel as an infant and raising her in the tower, Gothel ensured that she alone would have access to Rapunzel’s magical hair, which she uses as her personal fountain of youth.
Gothel loves Rapunzel more as a possession than as a daughter, and uses every weapon in her arsenal – including a constant flow of subtle jabs, backhanded compliments and over-the-top guilt trips – to keep Rapunzel hidden away.
When Rapunzel finally defies her wishes and ventures out into the world, the delightfully deranged Gothel will stop at nothing to get her little girl back into the tower.
HINT water just launched a limited edition Yogi Bear bottle for their unique Strawberry-Kiwi flavor to commemorate the anticipated Yogi Bear, which debuts nationwide in December, starring Justin Timberlake, Dan Aykroyd and Anna Faris. Celebs from Halle Berry, Kristen Chenoweth and Lauren Conrad are all big fans of the no calorie, unsweetened essence water, with a “hint” of flavor.

Let’s call this the Christmas or Holiday poster for Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader. I am not being sarcastic. I like the poster because it looks refreshing. It’s a reminder that the movie will arrive in December. I am looking forward to seeing it.
British filmmaker Michael Apted directs The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The movie is based on the third book in C.S. Lewis’ beloved Chronicles of Narnia series.
It’s all about the score, isn’t it? My ears adore the Harry Potter soundtracks. To watch composer Alexandre Desplat talk about the different elements that make up the music for the film sends me to Heaven. I am giddy all over and so much more excited about the movie being released this month.
Now, if I could only get my ears a hold of that soundtrack.
This clip gives us an idea of how much time and effort went into creating Black Beauty, one of the characters in The Green Hornet movie. She is actually the car in the story to help fight crime.
I don’t know anything about cars, but this one looks supped up for maximum effectiveness. It has over 500hp, bullet proof glass, flamethrowers, missiles, machine guns and anti-riot devices, what every crime fighting car needs to get the bad guys.
This is some alien! My whole thought while watching the film clip of Skyline is that the special effects, CGI, are phenomenal. There are no big names attached to the movie except the two directors- Strause brothers – who are known for their special effects in other movies (Jonah Hex, Twilight Saga: Eclipse, 2012).
The science fiction, fantasy movie is about strange lights that descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth. That’s one big gulp!
Last night’s TRON Night screening of 23 minutes of TRON: Legacy footage happen across the United States. Additionally, Disney sent me a newly available film clip, “Quorra Saves Sam”, that was shown as part of the TRON Night preview. I love Daft Punk’s soundtrack, it makes the movie.
If you saw the screening last night please post your thoughts.
Kato is driving in the Black Beauty while the Green Hornet is riding shotgun.
The story is pretty simple: The hard-partying son of Los Angeles’ most powerful media magnate comes to terms with his true calling – a crime fighter – after his father perishes under suspicious circumstances.
The Green Hornet stars Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz. The movie opens wide January 14, 2010.
Ang Lee is sailing off to sea. He will start lensing the fantasy adventure Life of Pi early next year. Ang Lee auditioned 3,000 young men and he finally decided on his lead, a newcomer, Suraj Sharma.
Pi will mark Lee’s first 3D movie, and he will utilize the state-of-the-art technology in rendering the epic story. The script comes from David Magee, who wrote one of my favorite stories, Finding Neverland. Principal photography will begin in Taiwan and India this January.
According to Variety, Pi tells the story of a boy who is lost at sea for 227 days in a lifeboat with three unusual and increasingly hungry companions — a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, a hyena, a zebra and an orangutan. He’s left stranded in the tiny boat after the ship carrying his family and his family’s zoo sinks, and must find a way to survive.
Here is the continuation of “TRON Tuesdays” where we can see the debut of Disney’s special sneak peek at Daft Punk’s “Derezzed” from the TRON: Legacy Soundtrack.
The clip is out of the box, but hypnotic and transforming. Michael Sheen looks ominous with his white hair. Next year, Sheen has plans to play Hamlet. I think, he will be marvelous as the mercurial, witty prince.
