Screenhead has joined up with FilmDistrict and TriStar Film’s family drama Soul Surfer, starring AnnaSophia Robb, Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid, and Carrie Underwood, by running a promotional giveaway on behalf of the film!

We have our winner Joe M., who said something like, “it sounds like a surfer movie.”

I really enjoyed reading everyones comments about the movie, which is still in the theaters. The studios put together a great prize pack to give away. With summer just around the corner, I’d love to have the package myself. Unfortunately or fortunately, I had to give it away to Joe M.

SOUL SURFER Giveaway Prize Pack:

- Two (2) SOUL SURFER Backpacks (one in blue and one in purple)
- Two (2) SOUL SURFER Sports Bottles (one with built in straw and one without)
- One (1) Copy of SOUL SURFER The Book by Bethany Hamilton
- SOUL SURFER Lip Balm and Sunscreen
- SOUL SURFER Digi-Clean wipe

First of all, I love the premise of this movie, and such a talented cast! The movie is based on a true story like Blindside, starring Sandra Bullock, who also won an Oscar for starring in the movie.

We meet Bethany Hamilton who was born to surf. A natural talent who took to the waves at a young age, she was leading an idyllic, sun-drenched, surfer girl’s life on the Kauai Coast, competing in national competitions. On a typical ocean outing a 14-foot tiger shark came out of nowhere and seemed to shatter all her dreams.

The true story reveals the moving aftermath of this headline-making story, as Bethany fights to recover and grapples with the future. Strengthened by the love of her parents, Tom and Cheri, she refuses to give in or give up, and begins a bold return to the water. You can see the trailer here.

We have our four winners for The Conspirator giveaway! Our first winner of The Conspirator crew bag and poster is Andrew Gordon! The second, third and fourth winners of the poster are DebP, M.Rogers and Karen B. I love what DebP says, “The movie sounds really good.” I agree with her. I recommend everyone go see the movie!

I have been following the production of Robert Redford’s The Conspirator because of Redford’s direction and James McAvoy in the starring role. The movie is playing in theaters now.

Directed by Robert Redford from a screenplay by James D. Solomon, the movie has some fine talented actors, including James McAvoy, Robin Wright, Kevin Kline, Justin Long, Tom Wilkinson and Evan Rachel Wood. I am very excited about the movie, and I can’t wait to see it.

Against the ominous back-drop of post-Civil War Washington, newly-minted lawyer, Frederick Aiken (McAvoy), a 28-year-old Union war-hero, reluctantly agrees to defend Surratt (Wright) before a military tribunal. As the trial unfolds, Aiken realizes his client may be innocent and that she is being used as bait and hostage in order to capture the only conspirator to have escaped a massive manhunt, her own son.

An upcoming romantic comedy called When Harry Tries to Marry stars Rahul Rai and Stefanie Estes. The movie is a cross-cultural romantic comedy about an Indian-American boy and his thoughts on dating, arranged marriages and ultimately love. In celebration of the film’s April 22nd release, Screenhead is holding a giveaway of 3 Prize Packages!

The Prize Packages Include:

- Official Movie Poster (signed by Rahul Rai)
- Official Movie Soundtrack signed by artist Sarah Sharp

When Harry Tries to Marry follows the young Indian-born bachelor who lives in New York City. Harry’s handsome and charming, but he’s cynical about love. He’s never really gotten over his parents’ divorce — they were a modern Indian couple who married for love and it didn’t last. So to improve his odds of living “happily ever after,” Harry decides to have an arranged marriage, and asks his uncle back home in India to assist him in arranging the introduction to an appropriate Indian woman.

Which brings up a valid point: Are arranged marriages a proper way to get married?

An epic true story set against the backdrop of one of the wildest places on Earth, “African Cats” captures the real-life love, humor and determination of the majestic kings of the Savanna. Narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. An awe-inspiring adventure blending family bonds with the power and cunning of the wild, “African Cats” leaps into theatres on Earth Day, April 22, 2011.

As the April 22 opening of the awe-inspiring “African Cats” approaches, Disneynature is tapping into the true power of social media by building awareness of its “See ‘African Cats,’ Save the Savanna” program. During the film’s opening week (April 22-28), a portion of the proceeds from that week’s ticket sales will be donated to AWF through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund to protect the Amboseli Wildlife Corridor, a passage between the Amboseli, Tsavo West and Chyulu Hills National Parks that is frequently used by lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffes and a host of other animals in the African savanna. Screenhead picked the winner for the Your Highness themed t-shirt, cup and coaster. David Basile is the winner and he says,”It’s def[initely] gonna be a funny.” I not sure if he was talking about the movie of wearing the t-shirt with matching cup and coaster.

Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world—Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent’s fiancee before their kingdom is destroyed. Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he’s settled for a life of wizard’s weed, hard booze and easy maidens.

But when Fabious’ bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux), the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off. Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel (Natalie Portman)—an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own.

Your Highness is playing in movie theaters, right now.
