Jurrassic park spielberg

Steven Spielberg was set to direct Jurassic Park 4 in 2013, but according to the man himself, in an interview with Collider, he won’t be directing the fourth movie. He was very specific when he said:

“I don’t want to talk about Jurassic Park 4 yet – it’s too early – but I can tell you that I’m not directing it. I’m producing it though.”

Spielberg didn’t want to go into details about Jurassic Park 4, once again saying that it was “too early” to talk about story and all that. Jurassic Park 4 producer Kathleen Kennedy said last year that they intend to shoot the film in 3D, which is a no-brainer, considering Hollywood’s preference to 3D these days.

Nicolas Winding Refn featurette

Ryan Gosling featurette

Carey Mulligan featurette

Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn throttles into the Hollywood fast lane with the precision-crafted action caper Drive.

Ryan Gosling stars as a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard (Oscar Isaac).

After a heist intended to pay off Standard’s protection money spins unpredictably out of control, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals (Albert Brooks and Ron Perlman). But when he realizes that the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash in his trunk-that they’re coming straight for Irene and her son-Driver is forced to shift gears and go on offense.

The movie was written by Oscar nominee Hossein Amini,The Wings of Dove, and adapted from the eponymous novel by James Sallis. The Wings of Dove is such a different movie than Drive. It’s hard to image they both were written by the same person.

Watching this clip reminded me of my High School. That’s surprising. We actually had students like these students in Prom, but we also had some other sorts, which I won’t go into here. Joe Nussbaum directs a cast that is old enough to join Facebook, including Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell, Danielle Campbell, Yin Chang, Kylie Bunbury, Nicholas Braun, Jared Kusnitz, Jonathan Keltz, De’Vaughn Nixon, Nolan Sotillo, Cameron Monaghan¬, Joe Adler, Janelle Ortiz and Raini Rodriguez.

The story is about how different we are yet we share similar desires to go the High School Prom. Several intersecting stories unfold as some relationships unravel and others ignite. For Nova Prescott (Teegarden), it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy (McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Fellow seniors Mei (Chang) and Tyler (Nixon) harbor secrets, while others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events. Of course, there are many nights in high school, but there’s only one Prom.

Prom opens in theaters April 29, 2011.

TNT has released a new trailer for the Falling Skies. I am eagerly anticipating this series. I can’t believe how much new action and details are being shown in the footage and interviews with stars Noah Wyle (ER, TNT’s The Librarian movies), Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) and Drew Roy (Secretariat).

The series launch is still months away, but I am excited. The trailer shows us the aliens and how evil they look, yikes. Which brings me the question: This must be science-fiction horror? The series is set to launch a two-hour premiere Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), before moving into its regular timeslot of Sundays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Brought to us by the ever so talented executive producer Steven Spielberg, Falling Skies opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. The few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers engage in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force, whose nature and purpose remains a mystery. Falling Skies is a tale of endurance, commitment and courage in which everyday people are called upon to become heroes. The survivors may be outmatched, outnumbered and outgunned, but nothing can beat the human spirit. The series combines stunning visual effects and personal human stories about triumph and survival in the most devastating circumstances.

American Media released a special Elizabeth Taylor Collector’s Issue as a tribute to the Queen of Hollywood. This 100-page glossy magazine highlights the many ways that the iconic starlet influenced the world with her many talents, visions and beauty.

I would pick the issue up at any newsstand and thumb through, looking at the photos. There are several Elizabeth Taylor movies that affected me as a person of film: Place in the Sun, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, National Velvet and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf? To view pictures of her work would be an awesome moment.

The Elizabeth Taylor Collector’s Issue from AMI, on sale now for $5.99, takes a look back on the actress’s famous friends, iconic style, and her eight marriages. Beginning her career as a child star and becoming the most famous actress in the world, Elizabeth Taylor was not only a movie goddess, but also an icon to emulate for beauty and style.

With over 250 stunning photos, the Collector’s Issue is a culmination of the star’s accomplishments and impact on the world. After taking a look back on the starlet’s influential acting career, it is clear how Taylor became the trendsetter that she was. Women loved her classic styles throughout each generation, and she proved to remain an icon of style and beauty until the end.

In the pages of this special edition, Taylor’s family and friends speak out about her passion and talents, and share their thoughts and feelings on the legendary icon and her lasting impact on society.

The incredible Carol Burnett is so funny and gracious. I love how she talks with Jay Leno about her experiences in show business. She tells a wonderful story about Elizabeth Taylor. They did a movie together in the early 80′s and watched soap operas together.

Carol talks about her new book “This Time Together,” and demonstrate her legendary Tarzan yell while telling Jay how it scared off a New York mugger. A real funny story that Burnett talks about appearing on Password, a game show, and the off-color clue she was given.

Another really good story is her phone call with Marlon Brando. Brando asked her many questions about her career, but Carol had to get off the phone and explains why she had to hang up on him. Then, she ends with a cute story about a time when her daughter was five years old.
