When I hear the name Tom Cruise I think Top Gun. I loved that movie because, for its time period (1986), it was a bold movie with a lot of action and awesome looking guys. In the 1980’s whoever heard of a female (Kelly McGillis) flight instructor? Of course, Cruise is the student with a rebel attitude that needs adjusting. McGillis is just right for the job. I have to mention, it was the first time I met the talented Meg Ryan. That was one of her first films, which led to more roles and fame.

With that said, Adam Rosenberg over at MTV posted an interesting bit of news. During the press junket for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice Jerry Bruckheimer was asked what the possibilities might be for a Top Gun sequel. His response is pretty cool.

“We tried to develop [a sequel] and we couldn’t do it– I was with my partner Don Simpson,” Bruckheimer explained. “And then Tom took it over and he tried to develop something and it never quite happened.” That’s all in the past though. It turns out that “Top Gun” has been the subject of much more recent sequel discussions as well.

“We were recently approached again to start talking about it but, you know, nothing yet,” he continued. “We kicked around some ideas because the aviation community has completely changed since we made the movie a long time ago. So we have to find a way in and how to incorporate the Maverick character into it.”

In the first clip, Cameron Diaz talks about family vacations and fighting boys. Then, she talks about wild Grandma killing snakes topless in Arizona and stunt driving in her new movie Knight and Day.

Bryce Dallas Howard talks with Jay Leno and Tom Cruise about how great of a babysitter Cruise was when she was a little girl.  She also talks about having a huge crush on Robert Pattinson while being a staunch Twilight fan.

Tom Cruise talks about his Father’s Day and playing dolls with his four year old daughter. Tom Cruise is being a good sport with Jay as he teases Tom.  It’s a fun clip to watch.  As a treat he does a quick impression of Donald Duck. Of course, we get to see a clip from his movie Knight and Day.

Tom Cruise looks great! He is such a good sport when Jay Leno teases him about performing as Les Grossman at the MTV Awards.  Although, we don’t get to see the clips from the awards show in this clip.

Twilight’s Dakota Fanning talks about Twilight bowling in Canada with small balls and tiny pins. She is so delightful!

Toy Story 3 | Summer Movies 2010

Reelzchannel is kind of cheesy, but the fans have some good points about Toy Story 3.  For instance, another Toy Story sequel isn’t necessary since Toy Story 3 wraps up the whole franchise nicely.

I am looking forwardto the Pixar film and plan to see it this weekend with my daughter.

Jonah Hill stopped by to chat with Jay about his two new movies. He also talks about the Lakers and getting in trouble with Coach Jackson.

This week, Katie Couric interviews Academy-Award winner Tilda Swinton for @katiecouric, a weekly online webshow at CBS News.com.  Couric speaks with Swinton about her new film, “I Am Love”, not wanting to be an actor, and the Internet rumors about her love life. The interview starts off a little slow, but does pick up.  If you are a fan of Swinton,  which I am, you’ll adore meeting her.

The complete discussion is available @katiecouric on CBS News.com.
