Harrison Ford talks with Jay Leno about his recent wedding and honeymoon with Calista Flockhart.  After the wedding they went to the Lakers game.

ACIN brought this segment from CNN to my attention and now you get to learn a little bit about the back story to Back to the Future.  Eric Stoltz, who stars in Caprica (we have a giveaway for that show here), played Marty McFly for 5 weeks before Michael J. Fox was recast in the part. The Robert Zemeckis felt that Eric just wasn’t right for the part. He’s a good actor, but the comic timing wasn’t funny enough.

The Blu-ray release of Back to the Future trilogy arrives on the shelves October 26, 2010.  I have a pretty good assumption that we’ll see more bonus features of Eric using dialogue, so we can really compare the two actors in the part. If that is true, then it will be a great scene study for actors and directors.

In this clip J.K. Rowling doesn’t talk about writing another Harry Potter book. However, IESB reports that in her complete interview with Oprah, she will admit she does have a few Harry Potter stories in her head.

She has been thinking about putting them down on paper. It “could definitely” happen some time in the future, but not until the last movie is released. Then, she will make such a commitment.

Diane Lane talks with Jay Leno about teen actors and getting in trouble.  She mentions being arrested for grand theft auto.  All in all, she looks great and is one of my favorites.

In this clip Lane talks about her love for horses and her new movie Secretariat. She also mentions working with Burt Lancaster when she was fourteen.

Director Joe Kosinski did this exclusive interview with Collider after a 23 minute preview of Tron: Legacy.  In the interview he spoke about how he got the job as director of his first feature and his background in architecture was instrumental to his visual concept of the world.  He also mentions how the heart of the story is father-son relationship even with all of the action and technology.

Here is my favorite quote from Kosinski where he talks about over promoting a film and offering spoilers to the public at large.

It’s tough for me. I really want people to walk in seeing as little as possible because I want them to experience it in the movie. At the same time, I understand that you have to get the word out and you need people who would quickly dismiss the movie, just based on the title or the fact that it has something to do with video games or who think they don’t see those kind of movies, to understand that this is a different kind of film than they’re expecting. So, I understand that, but it’s always a struggle. I always say, “If you’re planning on seeing our movie, don’t look at any more of the materials.” But, I’m always there trying to make sure that spoilers aren’t getting out and trying to preserve as much of the film as possible. I think the excitement of movies is discovering stuff you weren’t expecting, and I hope to preserve that.

Mao’s Last Dancer, the inspirational drama from Academy Award nominated director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Tender Mercies), looks like a movie that stands above other movies that are rather explosive, sexual or deviant.

The movie continues to receive high acclaim from moviegoers across the country. Check out this latest interview of Li Cunxin on The Today Show with Ann Curry where she proclaims that Mao’s Last Dancer is one of the best films she has ever seen!

When the interview cuts to the dancer’s photographs, his body is an instrument.  I don’t even think a bodybuilder could get such definition.

Mao’s Last Dancer is now playing in selected theaters throughout the States.

If you are in the NYC area this weekend, you can have a chance to hear Li Cunxin comment on the film and his experience in person! The showing of MAO’S LAST DANCER tonight at 7pm and Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 4:15pm at The Paris Theatre in NYC will include a post-screening Q&A session with Li Cunxin! It’s a rare opportunity that can’t be missed!
