It’s official. David Lynch’s Inland Empire has a trailer, and it looks weird.
From that scary opening wide angle shot of the old woman onwards, Laura Dern looks confused and – understandably – scared. That family of people wearing deer (or rabbit) costumes has me scratching a hole in my head, and that mangled face looking down the lens will give me nightmares from now until Lynch retires.
Can’t say we didn’t warn you though…
The Simpsons Movie is getting closer every single day.
When FOX first aired the trailer during a Sunday night episode I was in a pool hall, paying no attention to the show. But as the trailer started, an awed hush descended as everyone stopped, stood and stared – pool cue in hand – at the not very big TV screen hanging in the corner. This movie is a big deal.

“Hot Fuzz”, the much anticipated (in my house anyway) follow up to the zombietastic “Shaun Of The Dead” will be released in the US on March 9th, and in the UK on February 16th, 2007. Edgar Wright’s directing, and best buds Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are co-starring so it’s the “Spaced”, “SOTD” team together again.
Pegg will play a London cop so good at his job that his colleagues get sick of him and ship him off to nowhereville, where he’s partnered with Nick Frost’s bumpkin policeman.
The full trailer is now available via Working Title Films website, click here to have a look.

[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.ifilm.com/efp" width="448" height="365" fvars="flvbaseclip=2783985"/]The theatrical trailer for Spidey’s third outing is currently the hottest property on iFilm. The webslinger isn’t looking too shabby, though the CGI scenes still resemble excerpts from a video game.
Thomas Haden Church has recovered from his Sideways hangover, to play the villain Sandman, who apparently killed poor old Uncle Ben. This makes Tobey Maguire mad enough to take on a very literal dark side, something which happens to every superhero sooner or later.
Fair play to Sam Raimi though. He’s stuck by this franchise for an entire trilogy instead of jumping ship just when things were getting interesting (I’m looking at you Bryan Singer).
The Spiderman 3 release date is set for May 4th 2007 in the US and the UK, so it’s some way off. But at least you don’t live in Bulgaria, where for some reason they have to wait until May 11th.
