By looking at the rough cuts of Kevin Smith’s teaser trailer for Red State, we can assume it is a horror movie. The little I see of John Goodman, I like.
The movie premieres at Sundance, I am sure the trailer will be finalized by then. Interestingly, the teaser trailer says the movie opens in March.
The Lincoln Lawyer adaptation from Michael Connelly’s book looks awfully prickly. Matthew McConaughey plays the Lincoln Lawyer and is joined by a stellar cast including Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, Bryan Cranston, Josh Lucas and John Leguizamo.
The movie is directed by new filmmaker Brad Furman and the screenplay was written by veteran screenwriter John Romano. The trailer says it all, enjoy.
The fourth Ice Age movie is directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier with a voice cast that includes Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck.
You can be sure to check out the teaser for Ice Age: Continental Drift attached to Gulliver’s Travels, arriving in theaters on Christmas Day.
I am Number Four extended trailer is looking even better and is sure to rock your socks. The movie is produced by Michael Bay and directed by D.J. Caruso. The film is based on Lore’s six-book science fiction series that follows a group of nine earthbound alien teens who escape their planet just before it was destroyed by hostile species. While they try to assimilate to the new environment, the title character discovers that he is being hunted by the forces that blew up his planet.
I Am Number Four opens in theaters February 18, 2011.
Drive Angry 3D stars Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard, William Fichtner and Billy Burke. The movie is directed by Patrick Lussier and written by Todd Framer and Patrick Lussier. The story is about a hardened felon (Cage) who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption.
He is intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter. He has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon.
He’s joined by Piper (Heard) – a young, sexy waitress who liberates her ex-boyfriend’s cherry-red muscle car in order to help Milton. Now, the two of them are hot on the trail of the deadly leader of the cult, Jonah King (Burke), who believes it is his destiny to use the baby to unleash hell on earth.
But the bloodthirsty cult is the least of Milton’s problems. The police are after him too. And worse, an enigmatic killer known only as “The Accountant” – who has been sent by the Devil to retrieve Milton and deliver him back to hell. With wicked cunning and hypnotic savagery, the Accountant will relentlessly pursue Milton at high speed across the country until his mission is accomplished.
I like the green trailer for Your Highness better than the red trailer. What do you think? Your Highness is directed by David Gordon Green, starring Danny McBride, Zooey Deschanel, James Franco and Natalie Portman.
Joe Wright’s Hanna stars Saoirse Ronan as an older girl who is raised in Finland wilderness by her ex-CIA father. He deliberately teaches her how to kill with her bare hands. All geared to making her the perfect assassin.
The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one. She is sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own. As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.
Viewing this trailer, I have the twist in the story pegged. Perhaps, you do too. The movie also stars Cate Blanchett, Eric Bana, Olivia Williams, Jason Flemyng and Tom Hollander.
The new Paul trailer lets it all loose and goosey with just the right amount of vulgarity, but it’s funny with belly laughs. However, I would not recommend the movie for kids under thirteen.
Sigourney Weaver and Jason Bateman are hilarious. Weaver is the one that says “little prick!” The trailer is from Yahoo UK, so you have to go to their web site to see the movie.
I am not into mind-altering drugs and Limitless backs up my argument. The movie has an edge to it and you can sense the edginess in the trailer as well. Bradley Cooper plays a copywriter who is introduced to a top-secret drug, just like any teenager, right?
The copywriter is told that the drug will allow him to do whatever he wants to do. The drug gives him super human abilities. The usage changes his life. Meanwhile, the effects of the drug are starting to take notice, and a group of killers are following his every move.
The movie is considered a science fiction thriller, also starring Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish and Anna Friel.
First Tree of Life trailer was fantastic and now some competition, directed by Francis Lawrence from Sara Gruen’s beloved Water for Elephants, this era drama features a notable cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, James Frain, Hal Holbrook and Paul Schneider.
The story presents an unexpected romance in a uniquely compelling setting. Veterinary school student Jacob (Pattinson) meets and falls in love with Marlena (Witherspoon), a star performer in a circus of a bygone era.
They discover beauty amidst the world of the Big Top, and come together through their compassion for a special elephant. Against all odds — including the wrath of Marlena’s charismatic but dangerous husband, August (Waltz) — Jacob and Marlena find lifelong love.
