Fire up the nyucks and the whoop-woo-woos, and dust off your Curly Shuffle, because it looks like the Three Stooges remake is still moving along.

The Stooges are even tentatively clear as being Jim Carrey, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro.

Now folks…I love the Stooges. I think pretty much every red blooded American male out there has a little love for the Stooges.  I have to confess that, while I’m enamored with the thought of more Stooges I’m also leery of the thought of a grandiose Hollywood screwup of the Stooges.

While Jim Carrey would have made a fine Curly in his day, there is no Curly but Curly–and let those who mention Shemp and the usurper Curly Joe be cast into a pit without nyucks forever.

But still, as long as the script isn’t a complete bungle and remains faithful to the original Stooges, I think this might be better than a lot of people expect.
