I feel jumpy inside because I am sharing the official poster for the upcoming gritty thriller The Raven – opens in theaters April 27, 2012. I love the color of the red-winged raven behind Cusack who is carrying a gun.
See John Cusack in his portrayal of Edgar Allan Poe, as he joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. Directed by James McTeigue , the film also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
Legendary writer Edgar Allen Poe will be making his jump to the contemporary big screen through an adaptation of his classic novel The Fall of the House of Usher.
Written back in 1839, the novel told the tale of mysterious things happening in the house of Roderick Usher, who recently buried a sister whose presence still haunts the house.
The new take, dubbed The Ushers, will look at a grown brother and sister who have lived in the same Martha’s Vineyard house for a long time but begin to feel trapped there. They then bring in a real-estate broker to help them resolve the crisis.
Claire Forlani, Dougray Scott and Rufus Sewell are set to star in the film. Stephen Kay will direct.
