I feel jumpy inside because I am sharing the official poster for the upcoming gritty thriller The Raven – opens in theaters April 27, 2012. I love the color of the red-winged raven behind Cusack who is carrying a gun.
See John Cusack in his portrayal of Edgar Allan Poe, as he joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. Directed by James McTeigue , the film also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

Mikael Hafstrom’s espionage thriller Shanghai has been sitting on the shelves for two years. The film boosts an international cast of John Cusack, Chow Yun-Fat, Gong Li and Ken Watanabe.
The film opened in China and then possibly in the states in September.
Nothing is what it seems in this Casablanca-style international thriller set in the ancient Chinese city a week before the attack on Pearl Harbor. U.S. Secret Agent Paul Soames (John Cusack) has just arrived to investigate the murder of his best friend, only to become quickly immersed in a web of conspiracy and lies that beset the city. The 8-minute featurette covers everything about the film.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Nothing is what it seems in this Casablanca-style international thriller set in the ancient Chinese city a week before the attack on Pearl Harbor. U.S. Secret Agent Paul Soames (John Cusack) has just arrived to investigate the murder of his best friend, only to become quickly immersed in a web of conspiracy and lies that beset the city.
Shadowed by a Japanese intelligence officer Tanaka (Ken Watanabe), Soames’ investigation quickly centers on a charismatic local gangster, Anthony Lanting (Chow Yun-Fat) – and Lanting’s beautiful wife, Anna (Gong Li). Before long, Soames and Anna are involved in an affair that will put everything they have at stake. As national loyalties are traded fast-and-loose for those of the heart, Soames and Anna must race to solve the mystery and make it out of occupied China before the city’s collapse.
I always wanted to drive a car off an airplane. My adrenaline would go so high and I’d feel so fantastic. It wouldn’t take much strength because I’d drive the car so fast, so as not worry if I’d careen all over the snow. Wow!
Actually, this film clip from 2012 is pretty darn wacko and cool. It looks so real with all those cars flipping off the airplane and airbags puffing up. Go Cusack and friends!
The poster is okay. I’ve seen enough posters of this movie to get the idea that the world is going to end come 2012. Mayans are right and we should do something about it. In the meantime, I am going to the movies! 2012 opens in November 2009.
Three detailed and glorious banners came out this week for Roland Emmerich’s end of the world, blockbuster movie. The banners show key landmarks of the world being destroyed by Mother Nature.
We have the Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue, a very familiar icon, which is being shown here and at Empire online you can see the other two — USS John F. Kennedy about to wipe out the White House in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles on the verge of a total and complete wash out as the San Andreas Fault rips a gigantic seam down the whole freaking disaster. The movie stars John Cusack and opens Friday, November 13, 2009. I hope you feel lucky that day.
At times I really wonder what the studios are thinking when I hear of a logline such as three men in a hot tub (a bubbly time machine) get transported to 1987.
It must be a male fantasy thing. That’s what it looks like with John Cusack and Rob Corddry set to soak up the bubbles in the MGM comedy. Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are in negotiates to star as well. The movie will be directed by Steve Pink.
Josh Heald wrote the script that follows a group of guys who have grown frustrated with their adult lives. They return to the ski lodge where they partied as teens to find answers and are transported to 1987 via their hot tub, a bubbly time machine, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Pink will rewrite the script with casting in mind.
Cusack, Corddry and Robinson are the three best friends, while Duke is Cusack’s younger brother.
Cusack is also producing with partner Grace Loh via their New Crime banner.
Filming might be in Vancouver with an April 20 start date.
This movie must have the voice of thousands. I mean look at the list of known actors lending their voice to Igor: John Cusack, Jay Leno, John Cleese, James Lipton, Christian Slater, Arsenio Hall, Jennifer Coolidge, Sean Hayes, Izzy Lizard and Molly Shannon to name most. The trailer let’s us know about Igor and his problem he is trying to solve with the help of is looney friends. Igor opens September 19th.
Amanda Peet won the female lead role in much anticipated and talked about Roland Emmerich’s epic disaster project “2012.”
Peet is joining a very impressive ensemble cast led by John Cusack that includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Oliver Platt.
“2012″ pivots on a global cataclysm and the more than heroic effort of the survivors. Peet is playing Cusack’s ex-wife, recently married to a affluent man. Cusack plays a divorced father attempting to become a writer while working as a limo driver.
If the actor’s strike doesn’t materialize, the epic movie starts shooting in July. The release date for “2012″ is July 10, 2009.
Three more actors may join John Cusack and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Roland Emmerich’s epic disaster project “2012.” Danny Glover, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt are seeing if they want to make a date with Glover as president, Newton as his daughter and Platt as the Chief of Staff.
“2012″ was shopped around with a $200 million budget, but Columbia said it will be made for less than that.
The studio is planning a July 10, 2009, release, with filming set to begin in July — unless there is an actors’ strike.
