Tyler Perry’s The Colored Girls Trailer is enough. The star-studded film brings us Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Whoopi Goldberg and Macy Gray.

The movie brings to the screen Ntozake Shange’s Obie Award-winning play, a poetic exploration of what is to be of colored and a female in this world.

The Colored Girls opens wide November 5, 2010.

According to Variety, the move would position the film for year-end awards consideration, is meant to bolster the company’s remaining 2010.

Colored Girls is based on the play by Ntozake Shange and stars some pretty talented actresses: Thandie Newton, Kerry Washington, Janet Jackson and Whoopi Goldberg.
