According to Copenhagen film magazine Ekko, Martin Scorsese is apparently discussing the possibility of remaking Taxi Driver.
That’s right, Taxi Driver, the film with Robert De Niro as the anti-hero who saves Jodie Foster, very violently. I believe that crackle.com was showing this film for free last summer, and that’s when I first saw it. Honestly, I see no reason to do it any more than redoing the first Star Wars movie. I mean, I don’t see much wrong with it.
According to Ekko, there isn’t any word if Taxi Driver will be a sequel or remake, but it might be done by Danish Director Lars von Trier, who gave us Antichrist.
I can’t help but wonder if this rumor is true, and honestly, I hope that it isn’t.
This film clip is intense and freaky, which shows us what the movie is going to be like. Lars von Trier is one crazy dude, but a filmmaker who knows how to create oddity and intensity.
The movie poster is wicked. Scissors with passionate profiles as the handles sets the emotion for the story. I believe that’s blood coming from the center of the scissors.
Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg star in Lars von Trier’sAntichrist. The story is about a grieving couple who retreat to ‘Eden’, their isolated cabin in the woods, where they hope to repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But nature takes its course and things go from bad to worse.
I have a feeling that people will either really like this movie or really hate it.
Antichrist is both written and directed by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier, past films include Nocturne, The Element of Crime, Dancer in the Dark, Dogville, Manderlay, and The Boss of It Ally.
I don’t believe we have seen much of Willem Dafoe since Spiderman 2/3. It looks like he’s going to star with Charlotte Gainsbourg in Antichrist to be directed by Lars von Trier.
The story is a psychological thriller that evolves into a horror film – yikes! Dafoe and Gainsbourg play a couple who retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods following the death of their child.
