‘Other Woman’ Other Woman Trailer @ Yahoo! Video

Natalie Portman stars in The Other Woman, and she is also the producer of the movie.  As you may know, Portman is pregnant and engaged to be married to the choreographer for Black Swan.  In this trailer, we see her as the other woman holding her baby.   The irony tickles my fancy, and the movie looks good.

Portman plays Emilia Greenleaf, a lawyer who wins her married boss away from his wife (Lisa Kudrow), but must deal with the consequences including her newly acquired stepson and unexpected tragedy.

IFC Films is finally releasing the movie starting February 4, 2011 after a VOD debut at the beginning of January.

Here is a creepy trailer about a creepy post-apocalyptic thriller, Vanishing on 7th Street, directed by Brad Anderson.  The movie is about a group of survivors who must stay in the light in order to survive because evil shadows lurk in the darkness

The movie stars Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo and Jacob Latimore.

Vanishing on 7th Street arrives in theaters on February 16, 2011.

This trailer has some spoilers, but it’s Jody Foster and Mel Gibson at their best.  Let’s enjoy some find acting.

I know that some folks have some negative ideas about Gibson. It’s better to see the positive in others. He’s a very good actor and a fine filmmaker.

Prom – Trailer – In Theaters April 29, 2011 (1080)

Prom | Myspace Video

Disney brings us the Prom, and it looks interesting but I need to see more. Since it doesn’t arrive until spring, Disney has the time to tell us more about the movie, like what exactly the plot is.

The premise of the movie is that every couple has a story and no two are exactly alike. Several intersecting stories unfold at one high school as the big dance approaches. Prom portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite.

For Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden), it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Fellow seniors Mei (Yin Chang) and Tyler (De’Vaughn Nixon) harbor secrets, while others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there’s only one Prom. Featuring an emerging ensemble cast and a powerful soundtrack, Prom hits theaters April 29, 2011.

This full-length trailer tells a lot about the movie, which is cool because we can see that it’s not anything like the Charles Bronson version, which I thought was pretty decent.

With that said, the movie is about Arthur Bishop, a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets.  When his mentor and close friend Harry is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached.  His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead.

His mission grows complicated when Harry’s son Steve approaches him with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade.  Bishop has always acted alone but he can’t turn his back on Harry’s son.  A methodical hit man takes an impulsive student deep into his world and a deadly partnership is born.  But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become problems themselves.

The Mechanic is directed by Simon West and arrives in theaters January 2011.

This is suppose to be the final trailer for I Love You Phillip Morris.  The flamboyant comedy is written and directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra.

The movie is based on the book by Steve McVicker, which is an unlikely true story of an outlandish conman, who journeys from small-town businessman to wacky white-collar criminal. He over and over again finds himself in trouble with the law and on the run, skillfully escaping from the Texas prison system on four separate occasions – all in the name of love for Phillip Morris

The movie opens as a limited release on December 3, 2010 starting with New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Directed by George Hickenlooper, who also directed Factory Girl, The Man from Elysian Fields, brings us Casino Jack, starring Kevin Spacey, Barry Pepper, Kelly Preston, Jon Lovitz and Rachelle Lefevre.

Spacey plays a cool-headed, articulate snake charmer whose wild ambition knows no limits or boundaries.  Preston is fabulous in this trailer and I can’t wait to see her on the screen

The trailer shows a very final and poignant story that was inspired by true events that are too over-the-top for even the wildest imaginations to conjure. The movie lays bare the wild excesses and escapades of Jack Abramoff

Aided by his business partner Michael Scanlon (Barry Pepper), Jack parlays his clout over some of the world’s most powerful men with the goal of creating a personal empire of wealth and influence. When the two enlist a mob-connected buddy (Jon Lovitz) to help with one of their illegal schemes, they soon find themselves in over their heads, entrenched in a world of mafia assassins, murder and a scandal that spins so out of control that it makes worldwide headlines

Casino Jack opens in theaters December 29, 2010.

Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, and written by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and Christopher McQuarrie and Julian Fellowes.

Johnny Depp stars as an American tourist whose fancy encounter with a stranger leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger. Frank (Depp) unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the astounding backdrop of Venic and Paris, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Paul Bettany appears briefly in the trailer, he will add a lot to the movie as the villain.

The Tourist arrives December 10, 2010.

The second trailer for Faster looks and feels pretty good.  I am digging the fact that Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” is back to his tough old tricks. He is looking mean, rough and not holding any punches.  Faster is definitely a guy movie or for those who appreciate cars.

The movie is directed by George Tillman, Jr. and Johnson plays an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist.
