Congratulations everyone — the DVD is really awesome and brings lots of affinity to the world of being a dummy.

This whimsical and insightful documentary about ventriloquism examines and dissects the world of “venting”, illustrating that this perceived novelty act is truly an extraordinary art form. Featuring veteran ventriloquists, Tony Award winner Jay Johnson of sitcom SOAP fame, two- time Comedian of the Year Jeff Dunham, Campus Entertainer of the Year Lynn Trefzger, and highly regarded vent historian Tom Ladshaw, the film allows a rare glimpse into the humorous delight and creative invention involved in how ventriloquists do what they do. The skill and influence of legendary ventriloquists Edgar Bergen, Jimmy Nelson, Senor Wences and Paul Winchell are also showcased. It harkens back to a simpler time, at least technologically. A time when the only way something inanimate could speak was through a human voice and not a computer chip, and brings to light that everyone has an inner puppet.

013132136592dCapitalism: A Love Story | Giveaway!

Peter Travers of Rolling Stone says Capitalism: A Love Story is “fireball of a movie that might change your life.”

Moore “skewers both major political parties,” say Claudia Puig of USA Today, for selling out the millions of people devastated by loss of homes and jobs to the interests of fat cat capitalists.

Moore has “dug up some astonishing dirt,” says Brian D. Johnson of Macleans, stories told in the faces of the foreclosed and evicted, in the food stamps received by hungry airline pilots, and in the courage of fired factory workers who refuse to go quietly.

But more than a cry of despair, Moore’s film raises the possibility of hope. Capitalism: A Love Story is “The most American of films since the populist cinema of Frank Capra (It’s a Wonderful Life),” says Dan Siegel of Huffington Post.

“A movie that manages shrewdly, even brilliantly, to capitalize on the populist anger that has been sweeping the nation” Joe Morgenstern of Wall Street Journal

Capitalism: The Love Story hits the streets tomorrow, March 9, 2010. It’s a movie every citizen will want to see.

The winners of the two prizes are  Falon (91) wins First Prize is (1) Capitalism: A Love Story DVD and (1) Baseball Cap – Signed by Michael Moore; and Carol (06) wins Second Prize is (1) Capitalism: A Love Story DVD and (1) Official Mini-Theatrical Poster – Signed by Michael Moore

breakingpointWe have our winners for the giveaway of Breaking Point. I must admit, this movie is painful to watch.

The winners are Kari D. (46), Shawna (69), Damon (75) and Dawn (87). Congratulations!

One man must overcome a deep-rooted conspiracy and his own dark past to gain the redemption he deserves in Breaking Point (formerly Order of Redemption) – featuring Busta Rhymes in a breakout lead role. The DVD is on the streets from Barnholtz Entertainment (BEI) (distributed by Lionsgate Entertainment).

Steven Luisi (Tom Berenger), a once-prominent criminal defense attorney, seeks to be reinstated after conquering his drug addiction and surviving a family tragedy.

Stumbling across a complex, high-profile murder case, he decides to take it on against his better judgment, knowing it may force him to confront his own demons.

The movie is pretty tough to watch because it focuses on the dregs of society and their hardships.  I had to fast forward the beginning, too violent for me.  The movie is R-rated.
